My year in 2021

The start of 2021 (January/February) was a very unusual time with many of my images taken "vicariously"; just to record the dramatic news stories of the times. January was a particularly active "news month". However, much of 2021 continued to present a lot of different challenges. Unfortunately, until the pandemic is brought under control around the world, there will not be the ability to completely return to the old normal that we once all knew before 2020.

Even as 2021 went on, we continued to maintain a fairly strict "Safer-at-Home" way of life; with my husband working from home and with my not traveling for what I do. This is the longest I've ever gone in my entire life without any International travel. We also avoided all local mass gathering events. That meant my normal variety of photography subjects was greatly lessened. I really miss my active "old life". Maybe next year things will be better.
