This isn't good.

The plants were sprayed after I discovered the start of a sudden mealybug infestation yesterday. However, the bugs today look no worse for wear. Spraying hasn't stopped them. In fact, they're multiplying. They're on even more plants now. It looks like an epidemic on the rise.

How apropos for the start of 2021.

I have little to say today about the COVID pandemic; other than the news isn't good. On the positive side (if the positive side can be considered having less than 4,000 Americans die from COVID today), we at least have passed one day today where there hasn't been a horrific, "brand new" coronavirus milestone to add to the list of events.
