Like me, the wasp was just enjoying the nice day. After I first spotted him, he even waited for me to go inside to get a camera. Usually insects aren’t this obliging. But this one wasn’t sampling pollen. He was just quietly sitting on a leaf. However he did turn his head to watch me as I moved around trying to frame different angles. That made me a little uneasy. Luckily, he was non aggressive.

The news from the outside world may not be good, but I still had another good day at home. Because I have no control over the former, I feel fortunate to be able to say the later.
The temperature today was a little cooler than it has been, but the weather was sunny and quite pleasant. It was a good day to be outside to enjoy a bit of Nature. Because these days will soon be gone, I’m enjoying every moment of the warm, early fall days & all things associated to them. Again, I can’t put an ID to the wasp I photographed today. I’ve never really noticed one like him before. At first the magenta red color was a bit intimidating, But then, I found him intriguing. He was quite unique. The lighting could have been better for doing photography. Fortunately, getting in close for a macro worked.
