Being self employed, I started to stay home back when COVID took the first life in our Metro. My husband started to tele commute a week later. As a new normal took over the world, our lives changed dramatically. However, I probably shouldn’t complain too much about being more or less stuck at home. Knock on wood, my husband I fortunately are both healthy. My husband still has a job and we don’t worry about paying the bills. So many others haven’t been as fortunate as we have been.
When originally asked how long I'd do reports on the historic times we were living through, I originally said until the statistics reached 100,000. However, I truthfully NEVER expected the pandemic in the USA to actually reach such a horrible number. Or that the numbers would go on to be close to 7 Million confirmed coronavirus COVID cases and well over 200,000 deaths in just the USA alone. At this time, there is no end in sight. Today, I now realize just how naďve I was back in mid March. The World is in this for a long haul.
For a third season, we are now living with a “new normal”; which is anything but normal.
Two hundred days is such a long time.
However, the count still goes on.

A bumble bee on a flower on the First Day of Fall is part of the “old normal”.
Despite the world outside being in turmoil, I had a good day today. Each day of being healthy and safe and with loved ones is a good day. Meanwhile, I can see that some of the “old normal” does still exist. These tiny bits of the “old normal” gives me comfort. Early Fall is a lovely time of year for the gentle side of Nature.
