"At least 97,000 children in the United States tested positive for the coronavirus the last two weeks of July alone, according to a new report from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children’s Hospital Association. The report says that at least 338,000 children have been infected since the pandemic began, meaning more than a quarter have been infected in just those two weeks. The report comes as parents and education leaders grapple with the challenges of resuming schooling as the virus continues to surge." NY Times

"KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Mayor Quinton Lucas says he is frustrated with the increase in COVID-19 deaths and infections.'We continue to see more community spread,' Mayor Quinton Lucas said. According to the Kansas City Missouri Health Department, there have been double the amount of deaths from the two weeks prior. The late afternoon lighting was just right to see through the wooded area along the stream and into the next door neighbor’s backyard. Because of the way that the light normally falls, being able to see into that yard was a rare happening… Not an exciting view, but at least, something not the same old/same old.
If it wasn't for this Stay-at-Home situation, I might not have noticed.
