This name was universal to every North American Algonquin native tribe. However, in Europe they call it the Rose Moon. Because the relatively short season for harvesting strawberries comes here each year during the month of June, the full Moon that occurs during June was christened for the strawberry!
This has been our third full moon during Stay-at-Home isolation. Last night, the moon stayed close to the horizon for a prolonged period of time and reflected a warm golden color. It was lovely.
This is the last full moon of Springtime. My gallery started as the last day of Winter turned into the first day of Spring. It now looks like the gallery (and our situation) will now be continuing into Summer.... with several more full moons to watch from the "isolation" of our backyard.
