The mayor of Kansas City walked with the demonstrators on Monday.
Unfortunately, there still was some violence and looting after he went home.
One person was also shot near a group of rogue demonstrators, but that incident had nothing to do with the civil unrest.
Tuesday, peaceful daytime demonstrations continued.
Tuesday night was fortunately also peaceful.
Although some ignored the curfew, no violence occurred.
Meanwhile, "Homicides Spike in Kansas City; Murders Now on Possible Record Pace."
Police say two people were shot to death while driving in Kansas City over the weekend.
"This year, Kansas City is on pace to top the record, and that doesn’t account for the fact that summer months are typically the most deadly. Neither police nor experts see a connection to the coronavirus pandemic." None of the past few days' gun violence have had anything to do with the George Floyd demonstrations either.
