Although it may not look pink, the Native American name for April's full moon is the "Pink Moon". It's named for the pink wildflower Phlox, which blooms in eastern North America in the early springtime. The April 2020 full moon is also a "Super Moon"; about 221,772 miles (356,907 kilometers) away from Earth & the closest it will be all year
"Today's moon has one other claim to fame — it's known as the "Paschal Moon" and helps set the date for Easter. The first Sunday after the Paschal Moon is Easter, which is why Easter falls on April 12 this year." Space.com
