Although this was taken mid September, today's weather is very little cooler. The very first day of October, it's currently 92 degrees Fahrenheit with 56% humidity. This is July weather. The hibiscus think they're in the tropics.
Because it is too hot (and HUMID) for us to do our normal 2 mile walk, I'll probably later just go out on the deck in early evening with the dogs for a half hour at most. That is if the bumper crop of mosquitos doesn't first drive us indoors. The mosquitos are so bad this year that it's been next to impossible to go outside without first drenching oneself in insect repellent. Besides the dawn and dusk variety, we also have daytime biting mosquitoes.
Anyhow, this hibiscus is rather unusual in its coloring (neither yellow nor really peach) & one I've really liked a lot since I got it a couple of years back. It almost didn't survive last Winter's brutal cold in the Solar Room. Fortunately, it revived when put back outside for the Summer and has given me a pretty show since May.
