Photographing a Super Moon Eclipse 2015

This is my "fun" Memory Shot of the evening.

One single frame and not an edited composite. The image was taken totally hand held by moonlight only. Time frame was just after the main eclipse and during the Penumbral Eclipse phase. Looking at the EXIF speed, I'm now amazed that I was able to do this hand held with any camera.

Yes, the photo is noisey, the moon isn't crisp, there is flare, etc, but still... It summarizes my night. When the next Super Moon Eclipse comes around (a long time from now)I'll remember my night in 2015 more from this photo than from my actual moon shots.

Of course, I did also get some decent photos of the actual "Blood Moon" with Big Bertha. So the evening was a success. One of those eclipse photos will be posted in a day or so.

This is a fun shot and came out well, Liz. Helps us feel as if we are standing there too. :)
