Brian went on the G8 protest march on Wednesday the 5th of July in Auchterarder. He cycled there and had a great time. Overall there was a good, peaceful atmosphere and the very young and the very old were all marching. At one point the march passed an open field across which the security fence surrounding Gleneagles could be seen. Marchers took the opportunity to head for the fence there - but were soon brought back to the agreed route by the police. Desciptions of violence and anarchy in the press are hugely exaggerated!
