City of Rocks Idaho

Includes the amazing City Of Rocks, Idaho. A contender for the best climbing venue - ever! The rock is granite and there are hundreds of free standing pinnacles some up to about 700feet tall. The granite has an amazing surface skin on it in places providing big holds on the steepest of walls. We climbed for about 7 days and were on high quality routes all the time, there is an almost inexhaustable source of good routes here. that , combined with the superb camping, each site is in a secluded corner beside a pinnacle , makes a fantastic place.
