Jan28b

Two for the price of one today. Was outside tonight and noticed a fantastic halo around the moon.
Several interesting, typical characteristics of the '22 Degree' halo are seen here; the inside
of the halo is darker than the outside; the inside of the halo is 'warmer' in color - that is,
the red colors are on the inside, the cooler colors on the outside.

Canon EOS 5D
15s f/5.0 at 17.0mm iso640 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Nice halo! I had good luck with one (two blended exposures) a few months ago. Seehttp://www.pbase.com/wbluhm/image/70062881 I'm always surprised how bright the moon is!

I was just going out to see if I could bag an image of this halo. Great minds think . . . ;-) Good job on all counts Brian. g
