4:46 PM

4:46 PM. This shot is very similar to that taken on Day 1, 2:53 PM. What attracts me so much to this place at this time of the afternoon is the quality, and 'lightness' to the light, with the rich warm tones of the fall ground foliage. The shadows are not harsh with the strong reflected light from the white tufas, and the area felt like it was 'glowing' in the warm afternoon light. I had another variation of this image where I had brought out a much stronger interpretation of the colors, but really preferred this original, unaltered version the best. 1/90 sec, f/6.7.

other sizes: small medium original auto
