3:00 PM

3:00 PM. Backlit foliage is one of my favorite subjects in the afternoon, as the light just begins to take on the warm colors. In this case I was looking to bring the tufas into a composition with the tall golden grass which grew all over this area. Using a blurring technique I've used elsewhere in my galleries, I was able to achieve the 'dreamlike' quality and richness of this somewhat abstract moment. 1/125 sec, f/6.7

other sizes: small medium original auto

Beautifully capture Brian. Looks impressionist to me.

Golden sparkles. Even dry weed can be so live under your lens.

Brian, You have a knack for these kind of texture shots that reaveal many layers of meaning.
