This was the only image from a sunrise shoot in northern Arizona that I found acceptable. I shot almost 100 images of this beautiful grove from 'outside', with the sunrise colors bringing the golden aspens and surrounding mountains into a richly lit, gorgeous, yet very cliche image. After the sunrise shots, I ventured inside the grove for a more intimate view. This is by far my favorite, perhaps because it uses the aspens in such an indirect manner to derive the real feeling of the grove that morning. You can't really see any significant details of aspens here, yet their presence is unmistakable.
