Next day we crossed the Nile to the Necropolis of Thebes and the Valley of the Kings. This view shows the entrances to several tombs which were at one time hidden in the valley to thwart looters. They were looted anyway, except for the tomb of Tutankhamen which was discovered in 1922. Sorry, no photos in the tombs, either!
