One of the finds near the pyramid of Cheops was a series of large stone pits. In three of the pits were found large cedar "solar boats" for the purpose of taking the pharaoh on the eternal journey of his afterlife. One of the boats was excavated and preserved in a specially designed building. Inside you can smell the cedar even after 4000 years!
