Here is another round tower we viewed from a distance during our hike. We arrived at camp about sundown to 50 mph winds having visited all but one of the Hovenweep sites. That one we would catch in the morning on the way out. We built a windblock with a tarp on the picnic table sunshade and hunkered down behind it for a quick meal of soup and sausages. It was our most unpleasant meal of the trip. At least it was quiet after the wind died - we were the only ones in the campground. Quite a contrast from Natural Bridges NM!
