You might ask why does the state of Utah, with so much desert and so little water have a ferry. To cross Lake Powell and the Colorado River, of course. We got to the lake just in time to catch the 11:00 AM crossing. The ferry actually ran on time! I got to talking to one of the park rangers who was ferrying two trucks across the lake. He gave me some interesting information about a Ancestral Puebloan ruin just east of Halls Crossing, the end of our ferry ride.
