Our afternoon tour was of Lehman Caves, a limestone cavern dating back hundreds of thousands of years. the caves are know for their abundance of shield type stalatite and graceful curtain type formations. The tour was very interesing and well worth the time. After the caves, we did a bit of off-roading in search of petroglyphs in a remote section of the park. Next morning we broke camp and headed for Utah. We passed through Cedar City and headed east on Hwy 14 to a campground we had used previously. The campground was open but all services had been shutdown the week before. Not wanting to stay overnight at high altitude and without water we pressed on for Bryce Canyon National Park.
