Grand Canyon: Rim to River 2006

In late November we participated in an Elderhostel program run by Northern Arizona University which took us to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. After spending a day or so on the South rim, we hiked down the South Kaibab Trail and crossed the Colorado River to Phantom Ranch. We spent two nights at the ranch, sharing a cabin with eight other people. Then we hiked out along the River Trail and the Bright Angel Trail. Here are the picturs and story of the trip.
