While visiting the Rennsport Porsche Reunion this past weekend, I found a beautiful reproduction of the Porsche 917k. The car is manufactured in loving detail by a company in Australia called Kraftwerkz. They have a distributorship here in the United States for those folks who always wanted to own one.

The pictures were taken shortly after the Daytona Motor Speedway opened at 7:00am with the dew from the night before glistening from the sun coming over the edge of the track. It looked awesome and I hope I was able to capture the mood.

My love of sports car racing dates back to 1971 when I first saw Steve McQueen in the Movie “Le Mans” race a car just like this one. The Porsche 917k has won two times at the French twenty-four hour race back in the early seventies.
