Bonnet Carie Spillway, Montz Louisiana

The Bonnet Carie Spillway was opened today to relieve water pressure on the leaves down river from the structure. The New Orleans gauge was at 16.9 feet today with flood stage being 17 feet. The plan is to only open enough bays to keep the river from going over 17 feet and keep it open till its crest.
