Passing a Gift

Lake Martin, Louisiana

This is the shot after the one I posted Monday. The egrets have a ritual of the male going to find a stick and then passing it to the female. They then both find just the right place to put it in their nest.

The egret shots are wonderful! You must be able to get quite close to the nest for such excellent detail.
