Gayle and I were at Lake Martin at daybreak this morning. The egrets are busy building their nests. There are more of them than there were last year at this time. The roseate spoonbills are there also, crowding each other for space. Also lots of great blue herons (way inside the nesting area) and quite a few hawks. We had a great time with all the birds flying around.
