Black Bear Cub DSC_2252

Yellowstone, Wyoming

I am still processing Yellowstone pictures and I found this black bear cub. The mother was just barely visible in the bushes and seemed a little camera shy.

Great! My shot of a bear last year in Montana was not too sharp as I had the motor running for a fast getaway. :)

Geez, you're lucky mom was shy. The alternative could have cost you your camera. LOL. Sweet little critter and a wonderful capture.

Breland, the first thing that popped in my mind was a poem from somewhere in the past "A bear went hunting, he did go.........." He looks pretty in the grass, but a bit ruffled.

You stood still long enough to get the shot...mine would have been a movement pic...me, running like you wouldn't believe :>)

Well, thank goodness she was camera shy! I'm with Karen! Nice job and courage, Bre.

Yikes Bre! If I ever saw a cub with the mother in the same state I think I'd faint. 200 mm isn't very far away. Great shot!

This is sooo deceiving! They always look so cute but can be so menacing. We had a few cruising the neighborhood a few summers ago...even got into people's houses. I know, I know...we moved into THEIR territory. Great lighting in this image.
