The Little RED Church is over 250 years old.
The first church was painted red so the men on boats coming down the Mississippi River
knew they were close to New Orleans, and would be paid.
The original building, RED, was destroyed by fire and another built on the same spot.
This building was constructed about 1920.
The old tombs from 1755 and till today still bare the historical makers from the past.
My 5th great-grand-parants are buried here,
and pictures of the tombs and markers are in my gallery.
See 5th great-grand-parents tombs are in next picture.
I went to school here, made first, and second commuion here,
and walked down those steps when I began my life as a married lady of 17.
My children were all christened in this church
and my parents are buried in this cemetery.
