Applicant committed to exceed the required buffering standards and provided the proposed concept drawing which many along the trails could live with. However, now they want to admend that plan removing a buffering retention pond and cul-de-sac, moving more homes closer to the trails.
The applicant committed to buffering (read in the buffering photo below), created a concept map, presented that buffering concept to the neighborhood, the planning commission and County Commission. Now they want to walk that committment back. Let your voice be heard, attend all three meetings and email comments to:
GradyB@HillsboroughCounty.ORG , Subject: Public Hearings Comments 19-0937 and 19-0830 Body: Applicant has stated in County Policy 16 (17-04) that Neighborhood Protection shall be provided with buffering that will exceed Land Development Standards. The original site plan currently approved by the County provides this buffering through a long retention pond and cul-de -sac’s along the boundary between the applicant property and the nature trails of Fishhawk Trails. Approval of the pending modification would be contrary to the commitments of the applicant to exceed buffering standards and move the back yards of new homes closer to the trails.
