Saqsayhuaman en quechua, est une forteresse inca située à deux kilomètres de la ville de Cuzco.
Construite à l'origine dans un but défensif, la forteresse se trouve à 3700 m d'altitude. Elle a la forme d'une tête de puma, animal sacré dans la cosmologie inca.

Some believe the walls were a form of fortification, while others believe it was only used to form the head of the Puma that Saqsayhuaman along with Cuzco form when seen from above.
