We were at Tiananmen to try catch a glimpse of the flag lowering ceremony. Remember we were at the back gate of the Forbidden City and it was really hard to get a cab in the evening. In the end, we walked along the side of the Forbidden city, past all the Hutongs to reach the front gates again.

Wasn't that bad a walk really, took about half an hour. Unfortunately, the place was packed by the time we reach. Quite amazing how many people are gathered there to watch it. So, I had no ladder..all the high vantage points have been taken up...no super telezoom lens with me. Resorted to shooting the people around instead...
