Lüneburger Heide

The Lüneburg Heath is located in the triangle of cities Hamburg, Bremen and Hannover. With its extensive forests, meadows and heaths, it is a popular holiday destination and an important habitat for many animals and plants. The landscape is attractive not only when the heather is in bloom in late summer. Numerous cycling and hiking trails invite you to go on tours all year round. The region also offers picturesque villages, attractive cities such as Lüneburg and Celle, as well as leisure and animal parks. The sparsely populated landscape with two nature parks offers large areas of purple flowering heather. The region is bathed in its characteristic purple hues, the heathlands are covered in stunning carpets of flowers, and the scent of honey is in the air as the busy heath bees go about their work.
