The Hermannsschmiede is a two-storey, yellow-plastered solid building in the town of Merkendorf, Marktplatz 10, corner of Adlerstrasse, in the Franconian Lake District (Middle Franconia) and is a listed building. The building was erected in 1846, but its core is older. A barn from the 19th century with a half-timbered gable adjoins this. The local blacksmith's shop was located in the Hermannsschmiede.
