Franconian Switzerland



In the center of the Northern Franconian Alb lies Franconian Switzerland, named after its typical rock formations, in Bavaria, Germany. The area attracts thousands of people seeking relaxation, hikers and nature lovers every year. The region extends over parts of the districts of Bamberg, Bayreuth and Forchheim. There are numerous caves in Franconian Switzerland, the best known and largest of which is the Devil's Cave near Pottenstein.
