The promised swell arrived overnight- and the waves in the morning were huge! Unfortunately I had to work, so I got down to the point early and got about an hour's worth of photos, despite the glare from the sun. I also got some time late in the arfternoon as well- and the esplanade was packed, quite the circus happening. Two helicopters came over for a while, looking for someone that was supposedly washed out to sea- the Voodoo express (rip) was going full steam...
