Rendezvous with the Vandenberg

These are pics of my rendezvous with the USS Vandenberg being towed from Virginia to Key West. She is a de-commissioned navy missle tracking ship the will be scuttled off of Key West to become the 2nd largest ever intentionally sunk artificial reef. These pics are about 20 miles offshore of Big Pine Key on her way to Key West. She is 522 feet and will be sunk in about 120 feet of water. She will be a diving and fishing mega haven!!

I really like this gallery - you've captured the feeling of a dead ship very well - in the shape she's in - her ragged appearance - she looks almost like a ghost ship - it's great that this ship will be recycled into an artificial reef - V
