This planetary nebula in Ursa Major is known for the two dark irregularities that resemble eyes in a round face. Several background galaxies can be seen. The brightest of these is designated MCG+09-19-104 and can be seen to the right and just below M97. Its partially blocked by a foreground star and shines at a faint magnitude 17.
