5 Sandhill Cranes in Centre County, PA

5 Sandhill Cranes (Grus canadensis), have been seen in a small marsh and in nearby fields near State College, Centre County, PA since about mid-January. I got a chance to see the birds recently, after a snowfall. I used a polarizer in an attempt to reduce the harsh mid-day sunlight being reflected off the snow. I returned to the marsh on 2/8/14 and got a sequence of images as the large cranes bugled and then took off.
