For years this was my view of whoever was on stage but that was in another life and hasn't happened in
nearly a decade. This is the only one of my former "careers" that I truly miss and it is never more
so then when these four ladies are on stage. So many "engineers" are really just guys who set a level
for the band and then let it ride. I miss the days when the guy behind the board was nearly as much a
part of the group as any of the musicians and really tried to make a band sound their best. On this
day, the guy responsible for the sound spent most of the girls set some twenty or thirty feet from
console talking with friends and just left the sound levels the same for every song. Alas, another
art that is dying.
