This was my first view from on the Great Wall. I had just assending the stair way to walk it when I took this. You can see from the crowds that dispite the bitter cold (with wind chill it was right about Zero) it was very busy. This was the unfortunate side effect of being there immediately following Chinese New Year. Apparently even though it is dead of winter this one of the high tourist seasons for the Chinese to see their own country.
