We started photographing the Hundred Islands Nature Park at dawn right from the shores of Alaminos City. From the onset thick clouds on the horizon precluded a big dawn spectacle, so I shifted to a telephoto lens to snipe isolated pockets of color as they appeared. (This is why even landscape photographers need long lenses!)
The rest of the day was spent photographing the three islands we visited: Governor's Island, the highest vantage point in the park, Cuenco Island where a cave leads to the other side of the island, and the scenic Quezon Island where a wooden bridge connects two nearby islands. It's a long drive north of Manila, 5.5 hours if you don't stop, but it was well worth it. Highly Recommended. Enjoy.
