The month I spent in Manila allowed me to get out once in a while to vaguely recall the good old days. One thing I have missed for decades is watching university basketball games at the colleseum. Now, once again, I was spectator to those rabid inter-school ball court rivalries. My high school alma mater FEU knocked out UE to qualify for the championship, while Ateneo beat it's arch-enemy La Salle to face FEU. I watched the showdown. The FEU's deeper bench spelled the difference in two straight fast-paced matches.
