It was comical watching this male Great Egret working so hard for several minutes attempting to free this very large and cumbersome branch to use in the nest. He finally got it freed up and flew back to his mate, leaving her with the almost impossible task of trying to work this awkward and too large branch into the "under construction" nest. He makes hundreds of trips selecting branches then returns to his mate, where the branch is transferred to the female Egret and she proceeds to work the nest, while the male flies off to get more branches, one by one.
