An old mining town turned ghost town turn art colony. Most of the old buildings are still here and some of the haven't don't look like they have had much upkeep. But some have been remodeled and turned into art studios or galleries, or like some of the galleries in Taos, co-op galleries where four of five individuals with differing talents have gotten together in a good size building and a potter has one area, an artist an other, a jewler an other.
They have managed to turn the place into a quaint little town with the Miner's Bar & Grill the center of activity. It doesn't appear to have changed much over the years and the stage and dance floor looked well used. Saturday night was the time to be there according to the waitress.
