Falling water at 8 A.M. lured us downstream to Ace in the Hole with muddlers. Above in the flats, several good fish caught by Tom, Jake and Billy. Further down in A n H, Jon got 2 cuts, One ~17 plus. broke off on a dinger and lost many more fish (conehead wool sculpin). Jake got one good bow out of bob's pond, John got a 15" cutt and Billy got a 16" Brown. Tom fished the big riffle near bob's pond with a muddler and picked up 1 good bow and missed another good strike. Down in the midge Hole, Tom and Bill got numerous good fish on slow swinging soft hackles (18 hares ear). After Tom and John took a brief hiatus in Norfork and Mountain Home, the crew ventured downstream to Otter Creek to fish the flats above Ace in the Hole with soft hackles. Tom, Billy and Jon got lots of fish on small softies (pheasant tail size 18). Back in front of the cabin Billy landed a good brown ~16". After the last supper of grilled trout, we ate cheesecake for Billy's birthday and presented him with the Unlce leo leisure suit (picutres still pending proper release forms). This final evening was probably one of the best for Tom - lots of fish. Everyone has their favorite memories of the trip.
