I have no idea how many 5-star hotels you had in the area in 2004...doesn't really matter since I was on a camping trip. Some people like to play the R-card a bit quickly I feel.

I was a pupil at the school from 1959-1963. We lived up the Wanjoi Valley at a farm owned by someone back in the uk. I remember the name as Katn'daruma but not really sure. I think the Matron was called Atkinson and she had at least one daughter at the school.I dont think I was that naughty but remember getting the takki most nights for messing about. All in all a great time had by all but rose tinted specs no doubt. Living in the uk now but went back about 10 years ago and amazed to find it still running as a girls school with a lot more pupils now! My name is Rita Lawrence. My parents were James and Ailsa Lawrence. Brothers Noel and Brian and sister Dawn. My sister was born at Lake Naivasha in 1948. Spent countless time in the Rift Valley. Lived in the Coca Cola flats in Nairobi. Father burried at Langata Catholic Cemetry. Went to St. Georges School. Hope someone out there remebers me?

Came across your photos by chance. I was born and grew up in Kenya. We lived in Naivasha on Marula and Manera Farms. My dad had a garage, Battistuzzi Naivasha Garage. Your photos are beautiful and brought back so many memories. I long to see Kenya again. Thanks!

Thank you for your wonderful pictures. We are actually moving to Naivasha as soon as possible, (probably 1 year out) so really enjoyed your sharing these! We will be living off the North Moi Road.

I used to live in Kenya and I will never forget the day I first saw the Rift Valley.
Driving along what seemed like a regular road and then to be confronted by that vastness.
I had been searching the net for pictures to try and recapture that moment.

Whilst pictures can nevery really capture the feelings that such a sight can inspire, your pictures have certainly evoked alot of memories.

My uncle had a house on Lake Navaisha itself and we used to go fishing whenever we paid them a visit.

Did you ever have a chance to see Hell's Gate?

I just returned from Lake Naivasha, I love your pictures of the Great rift Valley, the day we crested the mountain from Niarobi was very hazy. YOur pictures are wonderful,

Hi

I now reside in Canada, but visited Naivasha (as a member of the Royal Air Force) many many times during 1956 and 57.

I was dusturbed to see how the Rift Valley has changed on a TV show recently.

My visits to Naivasha were to stay with a farmer Gordon Reid who farmed Pyrethum, (sp)
called Orengani Farm. He had a DKW vehicle and was one of the kundest men I ever met.

Fond memories of purchasing wood carvings in the town. Bet the place has changed.

What a wonderful memory. Loved your pictures.
