The old city of Damascus is full of Arabic language signs below the street signs explaining the historical significance of the sites.

This one, the Jaqmaqiya School, was built by Duputy Sultan, Prince Sayf al-Din Jaqmaq in 824 A.H. (1421) and is now the Museum of Arabic Epigrpahy.
