Mill River General Store

This store has a lot of history with it. During the depression many of the local farmers would bring eggs, milk, cheese and would swap these things for needed goods for their families.
When I was a young boy I would bring in soda bottles, worth 2 cents for the small ones and 5 cents for the large bottles. Then I would head for the candy isle and
spend my earned change on these delights. Going to the post office was also a lot of fun and I looked forward to turning the dials on the locked mail box to open it for the mail.
