Ronda, in the far south of andalucia, a short trip from the mediterranean's warm waters, is the most impressivley situated town i've ever been in, pearched on a gorge which flanks two sides of the city, the broad andalucian plain spread out below, dotted with loive trees and rising to the mountains in the distance. it's bullring is one of the oldest and most beautiful in spain, and it's where the red cape was invented.
