During the summer someone actually lives full time in this Shieling, though he had left just before this photo was taken hence why the door is blocked up.

Unfortunately so called "green" organisations in association with big business and the Labour Government want to build 500 huge (135m tall) wind turbines and an estimated 300 miles of access road across this moorland thereby destroying a unique and fragile landscape for ever. Of course the members of Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth all live in the town and their only knowledge of these remote moorlands is through a book they once read so they don't much care about the destruction of Scotland if it furthers their political ends. Don't forget to keep paying your subscriptions to "green" organisations as there is nothing nicer than 300 miles of road across an area of huge ecological importance.
